Al reverso se lee lo siguiente: del lado izquierdo "23604 AN INTERIOR COURT, AGUASCALIENTES", en el derecho "Lat. 22° N.; Long. 102° W" y abajo, "The city of Aguascalientes (ä'gwäs-käl-yen'tas - Hot Springs) is situated in the inland Mexican State of the same name, which occupies an elevated plateau, extending from two spurs of the Sierra Madre, the Sierra Fria and Sierra de Laurel, eastward to the rolling fertile plains of its eastern and southeastern districts. It is well watered by numerous smaller streams and one fairly large river, the Aguascalientes, or Rio Grande. The region has a mild, healthy climate and moderate raindall. The city of Aguascalientes recives its name from the medicinal hot springs near it. It is a flourishing commercial and manufacturing city come to about 45,000 population. Many persons come to the city for rest and to bathe in the waters of the famous springs. In order to acommodate these visitors the city contains a number of good hotels, some of which are very attractive. Our view shows the patio, or interior courtyard, of one of these hotels. Like most of the Spanish-American dwelling houses of the better class, this hotel is built around an open court. The walls of these hotels are thick and substancial, making them cool and pleasant. Around the patio are broad, columned corridors and attractive balconies with doors and windows opening on them from the various apartaments. The center of this patio usually contains a pretty garden with flowers and grass, statuary and fountains. The richer the house the more beautiful and well kept the patio is usually found to be. Nota: Como muchas de las casas coloniales, éste hotel fue construido en torno a un patio, alrededor de él se hallan varios corredores sostenidos por columnas y atractivos balcones con puertas y ventanas abiertas donde se encuentran las habitaciones.
