| 520 | |a<p>El Mapa de Cuauhtinchan II es un documento histórico cartográfico que proyecta una percepción ordenada y coherente del territorio que evoca, su estructura narrativa revela matices y convenciones adscritas a la cosmovisión mesoamericana. Por ello planteamos la hipótesis que esta pictografía posee un eje de orientación espacial relativo, de índole prehispánico, asociado a la “familia de orientaciones de los 17º”. Con base en prospección y a un análisis sistemático de sus topónimos, proponemos que la región representada en su esquina superior izquierda no correspon-de al área que actualmente ocupa la Ciudad de México, sino al valle de Teotihuacán.</p> |
| 520 | |a<p>The Map of Cuauhtinchan II is a historic cartographic document that projects an ordered and coherent perception of the territory it evokes; its narrative structure reveals nuances and details ascribed to the Mesoamerican world vision. For this reason, we put forward the hy-pothesis that this pictograph has an axis of relative spatial orientation, of a Pre-Hispanic nature, associated with the “family of orientations of the 17º.” By way of prospection, and a systematic analysis of its toponyms, we propose that the region represented in the top left-hand corner does not correspond to the area currently occupied by Mexico City, but rather that of the Valley of Teotihuacán.</p> |
